What's the difference between a quote and an estimate here?
The document is the same — a priced breakdown you send before doing the work, with an expiry date. Call it a quote or an estimate as you prefer; what matters is that it converts straight into the invoice so the numbers can't drift.
Can I edit a quote after sending it?
Yes, up until it has been converted to an invoice. Once converted, the quote is locked so the record of what was agreed can't change after the fact — but you can still edit the invoice while it's a draft.
Can I invoice without quoting first?
Yes. Create an invoice directly whenever the job doesn't need a quote. The quote step is there when you want it, not imposed.
Do quotes use the same designs as invoices?
Yes — the same eight layouts, your logo and your accent colour, so the estimate and the invoice look like they came from the same business.
