Your first five invoices are free — not free for a fortnight, free for as long as you like. No card to sign up, no countdown, and no feature held back to force an upgrade. You get the full software, including VAT, CIS and all eight invoice designs.
What "free" actually covers
Five invoices, for life
Not five a month that reset — five in total, so you can take your time and use them on real jobs rather than racing a trial clock.
Unlimited quotes and customers
Price as many jobs and store as many customers as you want. Only invoices are counted.
The whole feature set
Per-line VAT, CIS deductions, reverse charge, discounts, part-payments, all eight designs, your logo and colour, CSV and JSON export. Nothing is locked off.
Your first invoice is completely clean
No mark of any kind on it. From the second onwards a free-plan invoice carries a small line saying it was made with ClickDesign Invoicing — which disappears the moment you upgrade.
No card, no catch
Sign up with an email address. We don't ask for payment details until you choose to upgrade, so there's nothing to cancel if you decide against it.
Your data stays yours
Export everything to CSV or JSON whenever you want, free plan included, and delete your account and its data from Settings at any time.
And when five isn't enough
Starter is £9.99 a month, or £99 a year — unlimited invoices, no branding line, everything else the same. Cancel whenever you like and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. There's no contract and no notice period.
Questions
Is it really free, or a trial?
Genuinely free, and not time-limited. Five invoices is the limit rather than a number of days, so an account you use twice a year lasts years. We ask for no card to sign up.
What happens when I've used all five?
Everything you've created stays available and you can keep making quotes and customers. You just can't issue a sixth invoice until you upgrade. Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage.
Can I delete old invoices to get more free ones?
No — the count is based on invoice numbers issued, not invoices currently in the account, so deleting doesn't reset it. We'd rather say that plainly than have you find out by trying.
Is the free version watermarked?
Your first invoice carries nothing at all. From the second onwards, free-plan invoices have a light mark and a small line noting the software used. Upgrading removes it from everything, including invoices already created.
