Invoicing software built for UK rules
Most invoicing tools are written for somewhere else and have UK tax added afterwards. ClickDesign Invoicing starts from the way British businesses actually bill: VAT per line, CIS deducted from labour, reverse charge where it applies, and a PDF that says the right thing without you having to remember what that is.
What "built for the UK" actually means
VAT the way you charge it
Set a rate on each line, because a real job mixes them — 20% on most work, 5% on qualifying installations, 0% on materials that carry no VAT. The invoice totals each rate correctly rather than forcing one figure across the whole job.
CIS without the spreadsheet
Mark a line as labour and the Construction Industry Scheme deduction is applied at your registered rate, shown as its own line on the invoice so the contractor can see exactly what has been withheld.
Domestic reverse charge
One tick zeroes the VAT and prints the statement HMRC expects, so a sub-contract invoice between VAT-registered construction businesses is right first time instead of coming back.
Your company details, properly
Company registration number, VAT number, registered address and payment terms appear where they belong on every document — the details that make an invoice look like it came from a real business.
Sterling first, others when you need them
Prices in pounds by default, with twelve currencies available for work abroad, formatted the way each one is normally written.
Figures your accountant can use
Export everything, or a single invoice, to CSV or JSON at any time. Nothing is locked in a format only we can read.
From enquiry to paid
Price the job as a quote. When it's accepted, convert it to an invoice in one click — the customer, the lines and the totals come across, and a fresh invoice number is issued. Record part-payments as they arrive and the balance updates. Next month, duplicate last month's invoice, change the dates and send it.
Questions
How much does UK invoicing software cost?
ClickDesign Invoicing is £9.99 a month or £99 a year for unlimited invoices and quotes. Your first five invoices are free for life, so you can price real jobs and send real documents before deciding. Most UK accounting packages start between £12 and £29 a month.
Do I have to be VAT registered to use it?
No. If you aren't VAT registered, leave your VAT number blank and set your lines to 0% — invoices then print without VAT. You can turn it on later without redoing anything.
Can I put my own logo and colours on invoices?
Yes. Upload your logo once and pick from eight invoice designs and your own accent colour. Every invoice and quote uses them from then on.
Is my data stored in the UK?
Your data is held on our own server and is never sold or shared for marketing. Invoice PDFs are generated in memory when you download them and are never stored on the server. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
