Questions
Is there an app, or is it just a website?
Both, sharing one account and the same data. The Android app can be downloaded from this site now, and an iPhone app is on the way. Anything you do on the phone is there on the website, and the other way round.
Can I use it as a sub-contractor under CIS?
Yes — that's what the labour flag and CIS rate are for. Set your deduction rate once and every invoice with labour lines shows the deduction separately, so the contractor can see what has been withheld.
What if I do work that isn't construction?
CIS and reverse charge are optional. Leave them off and it's straightforward invoicing with VAT — the same software works for any trade or service business.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. You fill in your company details once, add a customer, add lines to a job, and press a button to get a PDF. There is no bookkeeping to learn and no chart of accounts.
